What are ex sample dresses?

These are the dresses that have been tried on in the shop during appointments. They have never been worn or altered for a brides wedding. We may have used them at a photoshoot or catwalk show but other than that they have not been outside of the shop environment.

Why are these dresses on offer?

For several reasons….

Twice a year our chosen designers release new collections so to keep our selection of dresses from getting to large we offer dresses ‘off the peg’

Ourselves or the designer might of discontinued the dress, or we might have decided to no longer continue stocking the designer.

What is the difference between the ‘off the peg’ prices and sale prices?

Some of our brand new dresses will have an ‘off the peg’ price as well as the full price on the ticket, this is to help our turn over of samples. The reduction to take the sample home is usually 15%. Dresses with just a ‘sale’ ticket have been in store for longer than 8 months and have usually been discontinued by us.

Can you alter a sample dress to fit?

Yes - sizing down a dress is possible, how many sizes depends on the style and fabrics. Stephanie our seamstress will be able to give you an idea of what’s possible during your appointment. Making a dress bigger is not something that is recommended or always possible, and we would always advise against doing this.

Do you dry clean the dresses?

No we don’t, however we do spot clean the dresses if and when they need it. It is completely up to you if you decide to have the dress dry cleaned but make sure you do your research and go to a specialist.

What condition are the dresses ?

It depends on the dress… all the dresses will have any imperfections listed on the tags, and your stylist will go over the dress with you prior to purchase. The price of the dress reflects any imperfections.

Final points-

• Dresses are paid in full and need to be taken home when purchased.

• They are non - refundable when bought in store, so you must alway be 100% sure before you say ‘Yes to the dress!’

• Alterations are not included, bridal alterations are a highly skilled service and can take hours of time and patience to make each dress fit a bride perfectly. Every dress is different and we don’t have a set price list, but you will be given a maximum price to budget for.
